Why do I need an appointment to shop in store?

All Mimi's locations are open by appointment only. Your experience begins when you arrive for your appointment time - appointments alleviate long wait times to get in & for a fitting room to open up.
You can plan to come at your appointment time and will have a stylist to assist you in finding the perfect look! Book Now

What should I wear or bring to my appointment?

We ask that all of our customers wear appropriate undergarments when trying on in store. Think sticky or strapless bra, underwear in a light color, any desired shape-wear, whatever is going to make you feel your best when trying on dresses!
We ask that you please refrain from bringing outside food or drink inside any Mimi's location.

Do I get to take my dress home that day?

Yes! We have so many pretties in store that are all ready to go home with you the same day as your appointment.

Should I shop on a weekend or weekday?

Weekends are busy & full of hustle and bustle in store. You can expect more shoppers, guests, & stylists in store creating our organized chaos. For a calmer atmosphere we would recommend a weekday appointment.

What's your prom dress price range?

We advise you to set a price range you would like to stay within for your dress before booking your appointment.

Kansas City:
Long prom prices range from $275-$1000+ with the average dress priced at $400-450.
Short hoco prices range from $75-$1000 with the average dress priced at $300.

Please note at our KC location short dresses are only in store during Homecoming season from July-Nov. St. Louis:
Long prom prices range from $275-$1000+ with the average dress priced at $400-450.
Short hoco prices range from $75-$1000 with the average dress priced at $300.

Denver:
Long prom prices range from $275-$1000+ with the average dress priced at $400-450.
Please note at our Denver location we will not have short dresses until homecoming season kicking off in July 2026!

Sullivan:
Long prom prices range from $99-$850 with the average dress priced at $400-$450.
Short hoco prices range from $75-$800 with the average dress priced at $300.

We offer free 60 day layaway options at all of our locations.
You may also leave a gratuity for your stylist.

Kansas City:
Long Prom size range from 000-28.
Short Hoco sizes range from 00-24.Please note at our KC location short dresses are only in store during Homecoming season from July-Nov.

St. Louis:
Long Prom size range from 000-28.
Short Hoco sizes range from 00-24.

Denver:
Long Prom size range from 000-26.

What kind of dresses do you carry?

At Mimi's you will find the largest selection of designer dresses in the Midwest & Rocky Mountain regions across our four Prom locations. We travel the country to handpick thousands & thousands of dresses for our four Prom stores in different styles, colors, & sizes from leading Prom & Hoco designers in the industry. You can find long prom & short homecoming dresses available in all 4 locations in season.
Please note at our KC location we only carry short dresses in store during Homecoming season from July-Nov. Our Denver location will not have short dresses until homecoming season-kicking off in July 2026!
You will be unable to book a Homecoming or short dress appointment at the Kansas City or Denver locations outside of this time frame.

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or transfers on any purchases including special orders, layaway, & sale items.

Do you recommend a seamstress?

Alterations play a key factor in obtaining the perfect fit for your dress. We have compiled a list of seamstresses who have been recommended to us for our customers. If you have bought your dress at Mimi's please call the location you purchased at & we can text you more information!
